Back to school often brings many changes for students and staff alike. Curriculum Trak is often connected to school improvement initiatives which can often get overlooked in the onboarding process of new personnel. Over the next few weeks, we want to highlight some of the steps a school can take to bring new staff members up to speed when it comes to your curriculum maps and plans. Today, we begin by looking at some tips for refreshing existing users and bringing new users up to speed.

Perhaps you had some teachers working diligently in your Curriculum Trak account to update their maps over the summer months, or maybe your teachers took some well-deserved time off and didn’t even think about anything related to their curriculum while enjoying some rays. Maybe you have several new staff members who have not had the benefit of the training, support, or work days provided in the past. Whatever situation you are in, we have several options to help your staff dive into (or back into) mapping this school year.

  • Updated Training Videos. Since the release of Curriculum Trak 2.0, we have been working diligently to overhaul all of the training videos in the help manual. This is a work in progress, but the videos your users will need to dive into their curriculum maps and continue updating them have been updated and they are ready for use. The videos posted below are typically the best place to start. You can find more under the “Teacher Training” section in the Help Manual (found in the “Help” icon).

  • One-on-One Coaching. Sometimes, a teacher simply needs a little extra support. It may be due to their lack of experience with technology, or because they are new to your staff and require a primer on the full features of Curriculum Trak mapping or lesson planning. Or, maybe, you are to a place where you would like to empower lead teachers to take charge of your mapping initiatives. If you would like to offer some of your staff members with direct mapping support while you focus on other responsibilities, we would be happy to help you with that. Our one-on-one coaching program will match your staff person up with our support specialist and provide individualized coaching for them at an hourly rate. You can find out more about that program here.
  • Group Webinars. If you have a group of your staff who would like to explore the concept of mapping, explore a variety of state or national benchmarks to which you want to align your curriculum, or simply need a refresher on the use of Curriculum Trak, our webinar option may be something you would like to consider. This is a great way to connect your staff with one of our curriculum professionals and help you move your project forward for a very reasonable fee. Our webinar offerings can be explored here.
  • On Site Training. Perhaps you have carved out some work days and would like some live support in guiding your staff and maximizing their efforts during that time. We offer on-site training for administrators, curriculum directors, your full staff, or some combination of those groups. You can find out more about this option here.

We are happy to support you in whatever steps you believe would be most beneficial to your staff as you continue moving your curriculum mapping efforts forward. Contact our support team if you have any questions about any of these options.
